Frequently Asked Questions
TERM DATES & REHEARSAL TIMES
When do rehearsals run?
The Vox Tribe rehearse during term time. Occasionally, rehearsals may be moved to a school holiday. In this case they will be on the same day, location and time that your usual rehearsal is. Additional rehearsals may be offered if coming up to a large performance.
WHen and where are rehearsals?
Rehearsals are 6:15-7:15pm on Wednesday evenings at King’s High School in Warwick.

Of course, as long as we know in advance it’s no problem to switch to a different session that is convenient for you.
MY CHILD ISN’T VERY CONFIDENT, WILL THE CHOIR HELP?
We have 3 very clear aims, the first being to bolster and improve a young persons self-esteem by teaching them the power of their own voice (this is a skill that will carry them forwards and enable them to speak out confidently). The second is to improve their vocal technique in a safe and effective way, and the third is to make new friends and have a great time singing in a group. All of our rehearsals will be structured with these 3 goals in mind.
My child hasn’t really sung properly before and doesn’t feel they are any good - is that ok?
Yes absolutely, we welcome all ability levels in our choir - all we ask is that your little one can hold a bit of a tune and love to sing! Our supportive atmosphere is perfect for confidence building, and you'll find lots of members who were feeling the same when they began. We also have lots of singers who have lots of experience, and their confidence will help to make them feel like they are on the right track!
WHY ARE THERE AGE LIMITS IN THE TRIBE?
Our Vox Tribe is for members and teens ages 10 plus, through to 16.
CHILD SAFEGUARDING
TELL ME ABOUT YOUR SAFEGUARDING?
Our choir leaders hold enhanced DBS certificates and are first aid trained. They also hold many years of teaching experience and are confident, supportive coaches who have your child's best interest at heart and will pass on any concerns immediately. If your child needs to leave the room throughout the rehearsal, our DBS checked helper will see that they make it safely to and from their destination. You can find our safeguarding policy here.
SAFEGUARDING DURING PERFORMANCES
When The Vox Tribe is performing away from our usual performance space, we will ensure that safeguarding measures are in place including the use of registered chaperones, health and safety measures and child collection protocols.
CAN PARENTS WATCH THE REHEARSALS?
Parents are very welcome to stay on site and are invited to sit outside of the main hall during rehearsals. You may be invited into the hall to listen to what we've been working at the end of a rehearsal.
PAYMENTS
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO JOIN?
The Vox Tribe costs £116 per 12 session term – so each session costs £9.67. The usual annual cost is £348 in total, paid in 12 equal monthly instalments of £29 per month.
HOW DO I PAY?
Monthly payments are made online via a secure system (Go Cardless). We will send a link that will take you through to ‘Go Cardless’ where you will set up your account, thus activating your membership.
WHAT DOES MY MEMBERSHIP PAY FOR?
We strive for every aspect of The Vox Tribe to be professional and of a high standard; therefore we work hard behind the scenes and continually invest time and funds into rehearsal spaces, song arrangements, website maintenance, paying live musicians to record, printing etc.
WHY DO I STILL PAY OUT OF TERM TIME?
In order to keep your payments even throughout the year, we spread your membership fees equally across the 12 month period regardless of how many rehearsals are in that month. The total price remains the same per term and per year.
DO I GET A REFUND IF WE MISS SESSIONS?
We ask that our members are committed to attending each term (to ensure all of our members are at the same level and learning at the same pace), and therefore The Vox Tribe don’t offer a refund on missed sessions.
PERFORMING WITH THE TRIBE
IS PERFORMING COMPULSORY?
Absolutely not! We very much understand that performing in front of an audience is not for everybody, and your child will be under no pressure from anyone to do anything other than rehearse with us as normal. There is something to be said about safety in numbers though, and you will be surprised how confident they may feel singing our fabulous repertoire next to their tribe. There will be incredible opportunities to record vocals in a studio and perform with live musicians throughout the year.
CANCELLING OUR MEMBERSHIP
HOW DO I CANCEL OUR MEMBERSHIP?
If you decide to leave us, just get in touch and once you’re all up to date payment wise we shall help you to cancel your membership.

Members are required to wear their Vox Tribe Logo T-Shirt at all rehearsals, performances and arranged photo sessions. If you become a member within a week of attending your free trial, you will received your T-Shirt for free. Additional T-Shirts and various other garments are available to purchase.
